In the modern world, the presence of an electronic box for receiving and sending letters will not surprise anyone. Creating your personal mailing address is easy and requires minimal effort. This primarily concerns virtual service types. Because to register such an account, you just need to come up with a name and password. Another thing is when there is a need to create and use a local service. Among the latter, the mailbox from Microsoft is widely known. Let’s figure out what should be the setting for Outlook after installation and how you can make the most of its functionality. www office com myaccount
Initial installation of Outlook
Setting up a mail app account is one of the first basic steps. Further auxiliary functions for using the event planner, personal contacts list, calendar schedule can be connected as needed. Of course, before starting work, you need to have an created email address with a password, a domain name and a SMTP / IMAP or POP configuration. The latter includes the main Internet protocols for the operation of the mail program client. Their purpose is characterized by the following areas of work:
- POP – connects the remote server of the program and the local client to download messages.
- IMAP – synchronizes mail servers and electronic messages.
- SMTP – this protocol is used only for sending messages and communicating with a remote server of the recipient of mail information.
Thus, SMTP is used for outgoing sends, while the first two protocols are for communicating with incoming mail client servers.

When the installation window opens, you will need to enter the address of an existing e-mail box or an additional registration record and click the “Continue” button. Next, we configure the mail server for incoming and outgoing correspondence by selecting the IMAP or POP item. We apply, if necessary, the connection of the provider of our mail.
When filling in the information of the selected type of protocol, you will need to specify the mail address with a password, username, port number to establish communication with the server and continue by pressing the add account button. As a result, after completing the settings, an email window will appear.
Features of Outlook 2013 and 2016 customization
The procedure for filling in the data for the mailbox account of the above versions is practically the same as that discussed above. The difference can only be seen in the external presentation of the Installation Manager screens. We fill in all the requested information on our account, following the instructions and clicking the “Next” button. If the data is entered correctly, a message will appear about the successfully added mail account. However, if an error occurs, you can always go back a step and correct the information you need. As an example of what the Outlook setup should look like, here is the account creation screen for the Mail 2013 version.
Here, in the manual settings, you must also enter the user’s email address and password. Next, fill in the information for the mail server and the selected protocol. www office com setup
Using the “Advanced” tab, specify the port number and encryption type here. All entered information is then checked by the mail program. As a result, if there are no errors, a screen with a verification status will appear, after closing which the installation process is completed and the mail interface opens directly.
Conclusion
Undoubtedly, the set of these specialized functions, the ease of connection and use of the e-mail box interface makes.
