Ariela Parisi es oriunda de la ciudad argentina de Rosario y es candidata doctoral en el departamento de Español y Portugués de la universidad de Rutgers donde enseña clases de Español como lengua extranjera y de Literatura Hispanoamericana. Su campo de investigación son los estudios de memoria y la ficción especulativa en Latinoamérica con un enfoque en la representación de la violación de derechos humanos y traumas dictatoriales en obras de ciencia ficción y de horror del Cono Sur. Ariela ha recibido un fellowship para profesores de Portugués de Middlebury College en el pasado y cuenta con un máster en Español de Ohio University y un profesorado en Educación, Lengua y Literatura.
Ariela Parisi is from Rosario, Argentina, and she is a Ph.D. candidate at the Spanish and Portuguese department at Rutgers University, where she teaches Spanish as a second language and Hispanic Literature. Her research interests include Latin American speculative fiction with a focus on the representation of violence and social trauma in contemporary works of science fiction and horror from the Southern Cone. She received the Fellowship for Portuguese Teachers from Middlebury Language Schools. Ariela received her MA in Spanish at Ohio University and a BA in Education, Language, and Literature.
